WHY I GOT INTO DIGITAL MARKETING
To be honest, I never thought I would one day work in digital marketing. It was never my plan. I didn’t know much about it in the beginning.
I started my career as a Business Development Executive. My job was to talk to customers, bring business, and help the company grow. I learned many useful things there. I understood how businesses work, how to deal with people, and how

to sell things. It was a good experience. But even during that time, I had another side. I always liked doing creative things. I enjoyed editing videos, making posters, using design apps, and trying new tools. I did all this just for fun, not for work. But I felt very happy whenever I created something.
Slowly, I started noticing the online world more. I saw how people were promoting their businesses on Instagram and YouTube. I saw ads showing up again and again after searching something once. I saw normal people becoming famous online by sharing useful content. I got curious. I started thinking: How does all this work? How are they doing this?
That’s when I found out about digital marketing. At first, I didn’t understand it fully. But the more I read, the more I liked it. It had everything I loved creativity, design, writing, planning, and connecting with people. It was not just about selling it was about using your ideas in smart ways.
I didn’t start with a big course. I just began small. I watched videos on YouTube, followed digital marketing pages on Instagram, and started using free tools like Canva. I made sample posts and practiced writing captions. I enjoyed every bit of it. It felt like I was finally doing something that matched with who I am.
I also noticed that the skills I got from my old job were still helpful here. I knew how to understand people, talk to clients, and think in a business way. That helped me a lot in learning digital marketing faster.
So I decided to make the switch. I left the regular business path and moved into digital marketing. It was not easy. I made mistakes and felt confused many times. But I kept learning. And slowly, I got better.
Now, I’m learning new things every day how to create content, run ads, write better, grow pages, and much more. I still have a long way to go, but I enjoy this path. It feels fresh, exciting, and full of chances.
For me, digital marketing is not just a job. It’s something I really like. I can mix my love for creativity with work. I feel free, and I feel like I belong here.
That’s why I got into digital marketing. It was the best choice I made.
